For more than 15 years, Raphaël Bourgois has specialized in cultural journalism, books, and ideas. He has spent most of his career in public radio on France Culture, where he started in 2006, first in the documentary section and later devoting himself to the preparation, programming and hosting of various programs. In January 2018, he co-founded the online daily newspaper AOC and acted as its editor-in-chief for more than three years. AOC, which publishes long form articles, written mostly by scholars, has established itself as an indispensable interface between the worlds of culture, academia, and journalism.He now serves as editorial director of Villa Albertine, whose launch is accompanied by the creation of a new online magazine that will feature articles, podcasts, videos, and a series of live events on France's cultural activities in the United States. A historian by training, Raphaël holds a master's degree in the history of the French Revolution from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a post-graduate degree in political science on national security policy in the United States after September 11 from the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.
