From the wine markets of South Africa and Lebanon to over 20 years experience working in the tradition of French wine, I understand how every element of the ecosystem comes together to create complex and unforgettable flavours. I was drawn to Château Méaume because of the potential to deepen its iconic taste, to expand its operations and to create an estate led by innovation. I am stimulated and motivated by the unique possibilities here at Château Méaume and will be here for many years to come. Located in the heart of the region, its signature plum and blackcurrant aromas have become an iconic taste of Bordeaux in the UK, Hong Kong and beyond. My role as Operations Manager is the culmination of over 20 years of viticultural experience working with a wide variety of grapes, creating wines attuned to the complexity of international markets and working to innovate processes by incorporating organic farming methods. The Château Méaume presents a winery that balances its proud French lineage with an ambition to reach new customers and to lead with its vineyard operations and production. I am overseeing the creation of a new cellar, an increase in production volume and the adoption of organic growing techniques. Together, we are building a winery that makes full use of its surroundings, and we’re proud to say that our 2020 vintage is already one of our strongest ever.

My role as a Cellar Assistant at Boschendal provided me with a deeper knowledge of the entire winemaking process for red, white and sparkling wine from harvesting to fermentation on a 1,000 acre vineyard.
