After completing a law degree and a Masters program in international relations, I joined Global Affairs Canada in 2008 to focus on trade policy issues. As Senior Trade Policy Officer, I have had the opportunity to work on various aspects of Canada’s bilateral and plurilateral trade negotiations (investment, government procurement, services) as well as important trade policy issues and related litigation. This has allowed me to represent the Government of Canada and to develop excellent consultation skills and coordination with other government department, provincial counterparts and the industry. In my new role as Vice-Consul, Education and Cultural Industries, at the Consulate General of Canada in Rio de Janeiro, I am focusing on the promotion of Canada as a study destination of choice and the development of institutional links between Canadian and Brazilian education institutions. I am also eager to find new ways in which to connect Canadian and Brazilian companies in the Cultural Industries sector (books, music, audio-visual) and to contribute to building new partnerships.
