Raphy managed all design changes for HW and IP in the plant, from Pittsburgh USA and on Site, and implemented them in the field. Studying the electrical schematics and walked through the solutions with the teams. Ordered materials and applied for work permits in SAP. Did a common inspection with the customer and after installation, turned over the work to commissioning for testing. Including all administrational work, planning, schedule and report to higher management in every detail.

The Thesis was to make a design and control of electric power assist to bicycles. The propellant consisted of a 14V NiMH battery, a battery indicator, a motion sensor, an RC circuit, a relay, a Engine control and an engine with a power of 200 W. The propellant was constructed after the following: as long as the pedals rotate at least one revolution every two seconds; where the impulse comes with 0.4 seconds interval, the engine would run. If the following were met the pulse was extended with the RC circuit with a voltage across the coil at 9V, the voltage required to power the engine controller and then run the engine.

Tested and programmed the SW in the HW modules in the RIG, did simulation samples and maintained/fault searched of the electrical devices and brake modules. Created handover packages & documentations. Supported design-team during construction and created test reports. He also wrote a technical manual on how to operate and maintain the RIG.

Trollhättan

Performed his master thesis execution for Electrical, and Mechanical disciplines in SAAB, GM PowerTtrain. Spent a week in Ohio State University in USA learning the SW model.Simulated and calculated the mechanical efficiency, the mechanical losses and the oil losses. Wrote a small Matlab simulation program on different types of gear sizes, the oil volume, oil film and tooth dimensions, and presented some improvements to GM regarding the design and materials.
