Science is a driving force that has been part of my existence since I was very young when I dreamed of becoming a scientist to make vaccines and thus help people. With this dream safeguarded, I chose to major in Biological Sciences and was introduced to the vast and fascinating universe of basic biomedical research.This immersion highlighted my vocation, leading me to persist in the scientific environment until I became a Master and Doctor in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Fundação Oswaldo Cruz. It was 12 years of total dedication to scientific research that gave me the privilege of working in collaboration with several researchers in the field of medical entomology in laboratories located in Brazil and the United Kingdom, developing projects using different experimental models and cultivation of genetically modified microorganisms or no, for the study of various neglected diseases, as well as their transmitters. These projects have resulted in significant scientific contributions to the area being internationally recognized.Additionally, during my academic career, I had the pleasant experience of teaching undergraduate students, training new laboratory members, orally presenting data at national and international scientific events, giving lectures and mini-courses, which resulted in the development of excellent communication and engagement in scientific discussions.During my work as a researcher, skills such as teamwork, organization, persistence, discipline, innovation, and critical thinking were improved and are now part of the professional I have become.Outside the academic field, I worked as a Technical Consultant in Patents in a multinational of Intellectual Property. Developing skills with communication of administrative decisions issued by the INPI, preparation of responses and corresponding resources in the areas of chemistry, pharmacology and biotechnology.Currently, I work as Field Application Scientist (FAS) at Seegene Brazil, a leading Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) company. FAS is the main technical interface between the internal team and external customers.
