 Direct the full lifecycle of revenue cycle operations of the central business office for four Surgical Hospitals and four Outpatient Surgery Centers, including designing and systemizing strategies and processes that ensure accountability and accurate revenue capture management.  Provide education and mentorship to department staff, establishing revenue cycle best practices, consistent follow-ups and maximum revenue recovery; formulate and initiate educational initiatives, performance metrics, and key performance indicators to ensure proper revenue capture/recovery while remaining compliant with billing practices.  Evaluate reimbursement trends, metrics, and opportunities, including contractual adjustments against accurate documentation and contract maintenance, concerning managed care and payor contracts.  Designed and implemented a Managed Care Grid; audited 28 managed care contracts for six of the eight facilities to create a functional grid that analyzed, educated, and trained a staff of 80 CBO personnel in the establishment of proper contractual reimbursements and accurate collection follow-ups of estimated patient portions.  Orchestrated a Monthly Deposit tracking log employed by all facilities for daily bank balancing and reconciliation, in conjunction with productivity KPIs for payment posters.

 Managed the daily operations of an Ambulatory Surgery Center with seven OR suites and a monthly case count average of 436, including aligning all collections posting, verification, registration and medical record operations.  Maintained AR days, census reconciliation, and the generation and analysis of month-end close reports that were directly reported to Administrator and Corporate teams. Synthesized daily deposits, admissions audits, and AAAHC preparations.  Created and adjusted job descriptions and department policies and procedures as needed; targeted new talent and on-boarded top candidates, evaluating all daily operations to ensure all goals were being met.  Successfully maintained an average of 24.55 AR days. Accomplished an average corporate monthly collection goal of 101.5% for trailing 12 months.

Texas International Endoscopy Center Houston, TX. Charged with leading daily accounts payable, registration, verification and medical record processes for an Ambulatory Center with four endoscopy suites and an average monthly case count of 430. Facilitated AR days, census reconciliation, and analysis of month-end close reports that were directly communicated to Administrator and Corporate teams. Reviewed and systemized all daily deposit, admissions audit, and JCAHO preparation activities.  Accurately processed all facility payrolls on a bi-weekly basis.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, TMC Houston, TX. Dedicated office manager for this ambulatory surgery center with seven OR surgical suites and an average monthly case count of 430; directed all accounts payable, registration and medical record management.  Excelled at maintaining AR days, census reconciliation, and the generation and analysis of month-end close documents reported to Administrator and Corporate teams. Recruited and developed new teams of personnel, training each new hire, maintaining accurate job descriptions, and evaluating daily operations to target needed areas of improvement

Sugar Land Surgical Hospital Sugar Land, TX. Supervised and regulated all Business Office and Medical Record functions for a six-bed surgical hospital with a monthly average case count of 702. Ensured low AR days, and maintained the AR computer system, directed all census reconciliation and analysis of month-end close reports for reporting to CFO. Maintained daily insurance verification, electronic/manual billing, cash receipts, and contractual posting to AR management mainframe. Reconciled managed care reimbursement to contracts, cross training, and admissions audits, as well as Medicare and Medicaid log reconciliation to PS&R.  Approved and reconciled Bad Debt write offs and Medicare Bad Debt logs. Awarded Business Office Manager of the Year – Hospital Division 2008
