About Raquel Queirós

I am a Chemical Engineer (2007) and I received a Master degree in Tecnologies for Environmental Protection in 2008 from Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Instituto Politécnico do Porto, Portugal. In 2008 I joined the Optoelectronic Unit of INESC Porto as a trainee and follow to PhD at Universidade do Porto in colaboration with INESC Porto and ISEP. During PhD I worked in several National (INESC Porto, BioMark-Sensor Research, LNIV) and International (LBB at ETH Zurich, GEUO-University of Oviedo, Spain) Institutions/Universities. My research interests includes the synthesis and characterization of new biomimetics materials for optical analytical applications. I am a member of International Society for Optical Engineers (SPIE) and former President of the University of Porto SPIE Student Chapter.Specialties: Biosensors, optical signal processing, characterization and chemical analysis techniques.
