We are always been dedicated to improving the quality and performance of our instruments. Our first CS-2000 Carbon /Sulphur Analyser is still in operation at ALS Ammtec after some 16 years. We have made many modifications since then, especially in terms of IR Cell stability and lower detection limits and we are pleased to announce the arrival of the next generation CS-1232 instruments. Some Ore Samples provide very low peaks resulting in the combustion curves running into the noise levels on the baseline. We have managed to reduce detector "noise" and results are vastly improved at the lower end. An open tube resistance furnace is still the preferred method for Mineral Ore samples. There is no alternative, unless you reduce the sample size to 5 place sample sizes. We are now working at getting the top detecting limit up to at least 20% Sulphur at 1 gram. This means you will be able to use a decent sample size for all you samples. The new CS1232 offers better accuracy and faster analysis times. We are using less machined parts for this instrument therefore it is cheaper to buy and maintain.
