As a web development contractor at ThinkCore, I collaborated with a seasoned developer to build a website using HTML, JS, and CSS. Implemented React components to create interactive and responsive user interface. Developed RESTful APIs and implemented server-side routing using Node.js, enabling efficient communication between the front-end and back-end components. Integrated PostgreSQL with the server-side components to facilitate effective data flow between the front-end and back-end layers of web applications . Employed Jest as the primary React testing library for both unitand integration testing, ensuring the reliability and functionality of individual components as well as the seamless integration of the entire application.Through this experience, I gained knowledge of web development fundamentals and best practices, including how to create a visually appealing and functional website. Additionally, I developed my communication skills by working closely with the client and mentor to ensure that the project met their requirements. I also applied my QA testing skills by performing rigorous testing on the website to ensure that it was free from errors and fully functional.

As part of my coursework, I designed and implemented the following projects.- VisitSeoul: Built a travel website using WordPress: an open source content management system. Applied relevant plugins to make sure its optimised for SEO and has no security vulnerabilities. Used W3 validator to check for any invalid HTML.- TipToe Soles: Start off with building mock ups and wireframes using Lucid charts and then developing a responsive website using semantic HTML, vanilla JavaScript and CSS. - SpotSunny Accommodation website: Developed an accommodation website using PHP as server side language, MySQL database to store data and images. Involved in creating ERD diagrams, Data dictionary and creating early SQL scripts to test the database initialization process.- Python CLI program : Developed a CLI program to allow users to either create a new account or login into existing one . Admin can view details of all the registered accounts.
