Rasem Kamal is an architect, designer and visual artist. After receiving his bachelor's degree in architectural engineering from the University of Jordan, he continued to earn a master of architecture from the Rice School of Architecture in 2015.Prior to working at Oppenheim Architecture in Basel, Rasem worked for a year at the Miami office of Oppenheim. Previously, he worked at WW Architecture in Houston founded by Sarah Whiting and Ron Witte, SOM in San Francisco, Symbiosis Designs in Amman and AS.Architecture-Studio in Paris. Rasem had the opportunity to work on various projects in San Francisco, Houston, Paris, Jordan, Syria, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and China. On the other hand, these projects were widely ranged in typology, scale, complexity, modes of presentation, level of details and number of phases as well.In 2015, Rasem was honored the "AIA Henry Adams Certificate"​ after publishing his MArch thesis "Wadi Rum Excavated Sanctuaries"​, directed by professor Carlos Jiménez. Furthermore, his project "Ain Ghazal Interpretation Park" received many architectural awards in 2009; it won the first prize in “The Omrania | CSBE Award”, “The Abadali Innovation Award”, and was also shortlisted by the “World Architecture Community Award”.
