Implementing individualized lessons to students using the Science of Reading and research-based practices, analyzing data to determine student learning needs, and debriefing with families about student progress and goals.

Plan and document high quality instruction based on Common Core standards, works to actively understand students’ needs and strengths, including actively striving to develop cultural competence, engaging in ongoing study of child development theory and brain research, and keeping current with student IEP’s, 504’s, and BIPs, and seeks out and accesses high-quality resources and materials, including resources beyond the school campus.

Planned and documented (using the school’s selected lesson planning tool) high-quality instruction; drew from Responsive Classroom, Restorative Justice, and Relationship-based discipline to manage student behavior, in and out of the classroom, for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment; integrated developmentally appropriate, culturally competent, research based strategies into teaching and assessment practices; and collaborated with special education, ELL and teaching assistants (when applicable).

Conducted literature reviews, collected and analyzed data, prepared materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations, and maintained accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary.

Managed caseload of clients (Maximum of 3, 15 hours per client per week), providing services on an functional skill basis in the home and utilizing short-term, solution focused treatment strategies, attended wraparound team meetings to enlist existing supports in determining and meeting service objectives and to identify additional resources and supports, and documented case activities for both clinical and billing purposes.
