    Through an initiative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I have been appointed by the Cultural Service of the French Embassy to lead a multi disciplinary group of young professionals to organize the 2002 edition of the event “Fête de l’Internet” in Madagascar. Held in March 2002, the nationwide event gathered no less than 10 000 people. Meetings, open door events, trainings, exhibits or workshops were organized to present to the public the Internet’s uses in all areas of everyday life: leisure, family and social relations, administrative, individual or collective projects. We called on local high-tech companies and service providers to commit resources to schools, libraries, and clinics worldwide so that they could connect to the Internet for free during the festival. My responsibilities involved negotiating sponsorships and agreements with all the partners; managing the relationships with the Medias; overseeing the organization of the activities offered across the country during the event.
