• Maintain compliance with air, water and waste environmental regulations, and permit requirements.• Create and manage guidance documents used by unit personnel to certify environmental compliance through SOP’s (ex. Startup, Shutdown, and Malfunction Plan)• Collect and prepare data for the submittal of Title V Reporting, DMRs, LDAR, VCM NESHAP reporting, PVC-MACT reporting and solid and hazardous waste generator reports.• Review Tier II data• Maintain day-to-day plant operations pertaining to environmental activities.• Provide multi-media environmental oversight of projects initiated during unit turnarounds.• Provide multi-media environmental oversight when working with engineering and operations leaders on capital and minor project through MOC reviews.• Participate in internal and external environmental audits of the facility.• Perform release notifications and prepare release submittals to agencies.• Facilitate meetings with LDEQ representatives in regards to environmental matters.• Coordinate waste management activities to ensure regulatory compliance including adhering to correct sampling, profiling, and disposal requirements (ex. hazardous, non-hazardous, universal and used oil)• Organize and maintain compliance records in accordance with applicable regulations.• Conduct monthly SPC-SPCC inspections within the units and prepare summary of environmental findings

• Assisted in the development of new regulations, policies and standard operating procedures, as well as other issues for ongoing or new brownfields programs and the initiatives as needed. • Served as a team leader on certain brownfields remediation at the discretion of the Administrator.• Assisted senior brownfields staff members in the development and implementation of the Revolving Loan Fund and Brownfields Investor Tax Credit and coordinating activities subsequent to the development of these programs.• Responsible for representing the department at meetings with citizen groups, the news media, and regulated community regarding programs. Conducted meetings with potential and ongoing participants in these programs.• Attended training sessions and meetings on the state and national level and maintain knowledge of ongoing developments related to this work.• Conducted field inspections.• Became familiar with the applicable state and federal regulations for the various inventory programs within Toxic Release Inventory and Emissions Inventory (TRI/EI) Section. Received the necessary training and experience in order to prepare for higher levels of responsibility. Assisted in the data collection, evaluation, and review of TRI/EI data. Assisted with the preparation of EI data for invoicing by Financial Services.• Assisted in the preparation of data requests by customers within and outside the agency. Assisted in the preparation and distribution of the consolidated Louisiana Environmental Inventory Report. Assisted in the preparation of state emissions data for upload to the national emissions database.• Reviewed technical literature of regulations and attended seminars/workshops to remain abreast of emissions reporting changes for TRI and EI. Reviewed federal documents and regulations to insure that state regulations are consistent with federal regulations. Assisted in the preparation and coordination of materials for statewide seminars and training sessions.
