Led an innovative ~$8B asset manager that specializes in risk-managed ETFs and Mutual Funds. Mandate centered on creating sustainable processes to allow Purpose to scale. Two areas of focus:I. RBC Ventures▫ Strategy. Helped design operating model blueprint, built partnership & analytics team & co-presented to RBC’s Board. Group was publicly unveiled in June 2018; 15+ ventures now in market.▫ Execution. Led development of a next-generation loyalty program, Amplii. Also unveiled June 2018.II. Enterprise Strategy▫ Provided senior oversight for preparation of annual bank strategy, participated in bank-wide strategy committee and mentored members of the strategy team.

▫ Provided strategic and financial services advice to the Koho leadership team.

Was responsible for CIBC's relationships with 300+ international commercial banks, as well as the bank’s payments and trade finance products. I led a team of 25+ seasoned professionals, spanning 5 continents, and was also a member of CIBC’s Global Leadership Team. In this time, top line revenue and net profit grew ~60% and 80%, respectively.

Developed and helped execute CIBC’s Wholesale Banking (“WB”, now Capital Markets) Strategy, while meaningfully contributing to CIBC’s Enterprise Strategy. The scope spanned Corporate Credit, Investment Banking, and Sales and Trading. In this role, I quarterbacked the annual refresh of WB strategy including presentations to the Board of Directors, spearheaded the annual strategic review of 25+ independent business lines, and delivered bespoke growth initiatives.

Advised senior executives at Pension Funds, PE Firms and Universal Banks on strategic issues pertaining to product and regional growth, support function optimization, and portfolio construction. Across increasingly senior-roles, I successfully completed 30+ unique client engagements, including geographic, product and channel strategies; operating model transformations; and asset-class and investment-level due diligence. I also co-led associate recruiting and new consulting staff training to grow and on-board new consulting classes for McKinsey’s Canadian Practice.
