(Valued at QAR 390 Million): Duties:• Managed and coordinated all the surveying aspects of the supervision services for the construction of highways, major roads & internal roads with asphalt, concrete/granite paver block, utilities for surface water/foul sewer line, with hard/soft scaping work, footpath pavement, road marking, installation of sign boards and other road furniture.Project: Flood Prevention Scheme Phase 3 for Doha South Area, Qatar (Valued at QAR 851 Million):The project is part of the Public Works Authority’s efforts to achieve a robust stormwater management system to mitigate problems in areas classified as hot spots. The project upgraded and tied hot-spot drainage systems to existing drainage networks. The project is of prime relevance to the Qatar government’s National Vision 2030 initiative.Duties:• Managed, monitored and supervised contractor’s site survey operations to ensure precision and compliance with design specifications and Qatar Construction Standards (QCS 2014).• Reviewed contractor’s shop drawings before setting out and the as-built drawings after job completion, prior to approval.• Reviewed the pre-condition topographic survey reports prepared by third-party survey companies • Monitor manholes and pipeline’s alignment, integrity and slope compliance for open cuts and trenchless pipeline constructions.• Supervised & checked the setting out of structural elements of the underground tank for positional accuracy & compliance with design specifications. • Regular progress updating of construction activities on site and report preparation • Networked with the government’s Centre for GIS (CGIS) for compliance with stipulated standards & procedures and obtained GIS & survey information for effective control. • Provided leadership & managerial role for the survey team vis-à-vis the tasks and resources.
