I lectured National Diploma Students in Environmental Health on courses:✅ Waste Management & Control✅ Research Methods✅ Building Sanitation & ControlIn contributing to Sustainable Development Initiatives, I had the privilege of being selected as a key member of two committees established by the Directorate of Environmental Service's Department of Lagos State Primary Health Care Board.1. Environmental Bye-Laws Review Committee:In this capacity, I collaborated with a ten (10) man committee representing all 57 LGAs/LCDAs of Lagos State. Our primary objective was to comprehensively review derelict extant Environmental bye-laws and propose uniform reforms to foster sustainable development. My contributions centered around defining the duty of care owed by sewage disposal companies to both humans and the environment during their operations.2. Monthly Reporting System Review Committee:I was also chosen as one of four (4) individuals from the 57 LGAs/LCDAs of Lagos State to review the monthly reporting system of the departments. My involvement resulted in streamlining an unwieldy eight (8) page reporting format into a concise and informative two (2) pages. Additionally, I introduced visually engaging charts for better statistical representation, enhancing the overall reporting process.

As an accomplished Team Lead at the Inspectorate unit of the Environmental Service's Department, I take immense pride in my role in ensuring environmental compliance and driving positive change in Lagos State. My passion for public health and sustainable development has allowed me to spearhead various initiatives that have resulted in significant improvements in regulatory standards and practices.One of my major achievements as a Team Lead was leading efforts to enforce compliance on best practices in regulated premises throughout Lagos. I identified and addressed the grave issue of insanitary practices, such as the improper discharge of fecal effluents into public drains. By taking decisive action and implementing stringent measures, I successfully transformed these premises into cleaner and safer environments for the community.I took personal charge of monitoring various establishments, including popular food premises like The Place, Jevinik, and Chicken Republic, well-known hotels such as Sheraton, Radisson Blu, Protea, and Genesis Group hotels, as well as superstores like Just rite and Hubmart. My focus was on ensuring compliance with Food Safety & Environmental Hygienic Practices while strictly adhering to pest control and prevention laws. This led me to issue over 20+ abatement notices to offenders of public health regulations, and in several instances, I served court summons and pursued successful prosecutions.Recognizing the critical importance of housing sanitation for public health, I led a rigorous program of periodic monitoring. My team & I assessed more than 54 houses with various sanitation issues, including inadequate sanitary toilet systems, poor housekeeping practices that attracted pests like rodents and roaches, and receptacles retaining water that served as breeding grounds for mosquitoes. My intervention in these cases led to improved living conditions for residents and a cleaner envt.I consistently demonstrated commitment towards SDGs
