Provide weld technical support and aid in improving coordination and collaboration between departments and teams. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and support efforts to implement quality principles. Document projects including engineering changes, inspection plan, handwork and assembly processes, and vendor processes.• Perform contractor/subcontractor surveillance inspection on all welding work activities on site. • Observe and review NDE applications for RT, PT, VB, MT, UT, HT and Pen Oil against approved procedures. • Evaluate Radiographic Films in accordance with Code & Specification Requirements. • Witness and review testing of welder’s performance qualification testing. • Review hydro test packages for pressure testing.; complete final P&ID check prior to turnover. • Assist in the management of the rod room and rod room attendant to ensure all filler wire materials are controlled and meet Bechtel code requirements.
