My role andresponsibilitiesresponsibilities:-Assessing Nutritional Needs: Conducting assessments to determine the nutritional needs and requirements of the students, taking into consideration factors such as age, gender, and activity level.Menu Planning: Collaborating with the school administration to plan balanced and nutritious menus for school meals. Ensuring that the meals meet dietary guidelines and provide adequate nutrients for the students' growth and development.Food Safety: Ensuring that food preparation and handling practices in the school kitchen are in compliance with food safety standards to prevent foodborne illnesses.Nutrition Education: Providing nutrition education to students, teachers, and parents. This may involve organizing workshops, seminars, or informational sessions to promote healthy eating habits.Special Dietary Needs: Identifying students with special dietary needs or restrictions (e.g., allergies, medical conditions) and developing appropriate meal plans to accommodate these needs.Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitoring the implementation of the school meal program, collecting feedback from students, and evaluating the impact of the nutrition program on students' health and well-being.Budget Management: Managing the budget for the school's nutrition program, including procurement of food items and ensuring cost-effective meal planning.Collaboration: Collaborating with the school staff, including cooks and kitchen personnel, to ensure that meals are prepared and served according to the established nutrition guidelines.Record-Keeping: Maintaining records of food inventory, meal plans, nutritional assessments, and any special dietary requirements for students.Policy Advocacy: Advocating for healthy eating policies within the school and community, and staying up-to-date with nutrition trends and research to make informed recommendations.
