I was performing as an independent researcher within the Andrew Biankin Laboratory working on the molecular genetics of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. My role involved carrying out Mammalian / cancer tissue culture and sample handling, Phase contrast and brightfield microscopy, Immunoblotting, and drug dosage response assays in a GMP laboratory environment.

I confirmed the successful complementation of two nematode worm cell cycle proteins in afission yeast model. There I examined any present interactions and their implications, maintaining solid and liquid minimal media cultures, performing multiple streak patterns to highlight cell growth, producing 3 dimensional images using confocal microscopy, analysing data using ImageJ, Improvision (imaging software), using A Coulter Particle counter in an average cell size assay and doing statistical checks using MS Excel.
