Key Activities • Implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plan and Environmental Monitoring Plan to ensure compliance with the legal requirements of the project and environmental compliance with Qatar Environmental Law;• Conduct and Lead Environmental Audits/Site Inspections/Training/Toolbox Talks• Assist close out of audits as per the requirements of Project Management Consultant (AECOM) Project Environmental Consultant (COWI);• Maintain communication with other contractors as a part of stakeholder engagement;• Resume office as deputy environmental manager in absence on Environmental Manager and communicate with Ministry of Municipality and Environment as and when required;• Identification and assessment of on-site activities to identify environmental permit conditions;• Keep a track of environmental permits, apply for new permits and get renewal of old permits;• Drafting of weekly and monthly environmental report;• Analysis, interpretation and designing of mitigation measures for environmental impacts identified in environmental monitoring such as increase concentration of particulate matter in air, ground and surface water contamination , increased noise levels, waste management etc.

September 1996 – May 2015 (19 years)Conducted stakeholder consultations and prepared Public Consultation and Disclosure Plan (PCDP) for various projects while complying with World Bank (WB) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards, as a part of various project Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).Identifying project stakeholders and developing target groups within project stakeholders based on their varying, educational, linguistic, cultural and political backgrounds, Developing consultation materials for community and institutional stakeholders to provide information for the project and ESIA process, Coordinating meetings with government officials, NGOs/CBOs and community stakeholders, Developing contact database of project stakeholders, Conducting public consultation and maintain record of consultation meetings, Assisting in coordinating all issues with project management and stakeholders.Conducting scoping and baseline socioeconomic investigations while complying with WB and (IFC), as a part of various project ESIA:Preparing survey methodologies, assembling survey teams and coordinating field progress, Managing development of databases, data cleaning and QC, conducting data analysis, Reviewing secondary sources, Preparing baseline reports.Field tasks:Coordination of field surveys and data collection which involves:Logistic arrangements for the field staff and international consultants, Monitoring of field progress through internal coordination, arranging high level meetings, maintaining effective communication with all team members, Preparing the minutes of the meeting.
