I see myself as an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) professional. This journey began at Centre for Early Childhood Education and Development (CECED) at Ambedkar University Delhi which provided me an opportunity to lead numerous projects related to ECCE in different states of India. For more than eight years, I have been engaged in designing developmentally appropriate pre-school education curriculum for three-six years children and early stimulation programme (also known as Infants and Toddlers programme) for caregivers having children till three years of age. I have also developed parenting intervention/ programme focusing on continuous care and learning at home during COVID-19 pandemic using different digital platforms such as WhatsApp. In addition to content development, I have emerged as a trainer and conducted numerous trainings on ECCE for the government officials and private organization working in this field. My key interest areas include early language and literacy development, early numeracy and socio-emotional development among children. At present, I work as a freelance ECCE consultant for different organization focusing on infants and toddlers programme, birth to three years curriculum, Parenting programme or conducting training on ECE.

Pre-School Programmes and Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Odisha, India, in collaboration with Yale University, USA. The project activities included development of two-year pre-school curriculum for three to six years of children, with a focus on executive functioning and school readiness, developing a twelve months parenting programme for attitudinal shifts towards ECE among caregivers, Training of ECE facilitators and Adaptation of the assessment tool (WPPSI-IV and DEBARON-II) to the local context of Cuttack, Bolengir and Balsore districts of Odisha.ii. Technical Assistance on the Early Childhood Education (ECE) in the State of West Bengal in collaboration with UNICEF (West Bengal). The project activities included to Design and develop parenting packages for caregivers with children of two different age-groups (birth to three years and three to six years), Training of the State Resource Group (SRG) on the ECE and parenting intervention, Designed the monitoring and evaluation plan for parenting intervention, Conducted monitoring visits in six districts and submitted the monitoring report, Developed tools for the baseline and endline evaluation of parenting intervention. iii. Feasibility study on the integrated ECD intervention package and the role of MSRLS in Meghalaya, in collaboration with World Bank (India). The primary target beneficiaries of this package were pregnant women and young mothers. The project activities included to design and develop the Integrated Early Childhood Development (ECD) Intervention Package based on WHO’s Nurturing and Care Framework for ECD, Conducted trainings on the ECD Intervention Package for the MSRLS team and Submitted a report on the feasibility of the Integrated ECD Package and using MSRLS as an alternate platform for delivery of the intervention.
