This role requires providing technical support to develop resources, conducting training and workshops related to ECCE for the ‘Jammu and Kashmir Anganwadi Adoption Program’. The said program implemented by CII Foundation in collaboration with Mission Poshan J & K (ICDS) & local partner to strengthen delivery of ECCE, Health & Nutrition awareness in four blocks namely Narwah in Baramulla, Breng in Anantnag, Banihal & Gool in Ramban districts of J & K’. My profile includes providing technical support for the following in coordination with local implementation partner. 1. Capacity building of local partner and ICDS functionaries on ECCE, Health & Nutrition.2. Develop training module for Block level Master Trainers to conduct skill training of Anganwadi Worker and Anganwadi helper.3. Planning, leading and conducting workshop to create Anganwadi in box TLM Kit. 4. Develop Standard Operating Procedure to design and develop 80 model AWC's centers. 5. Develop Nutritional Awareness Kit for creating awareness about health and nutrition among the community.6. Facilitation of state level review and consultation meetings.

As an ECCE consultant, I have designed and developed Group Stimulation Curriculum that aims to provide early stimulation activities for the caregivers with children aged under three years of age. The profile includes mapping of activities for infants and toddlers, developing Infants and Toddlers early stimulation manual and training material for early childhood facilitators.

My profile included leading the following assignmentsi. Resource Development • Modules on Early Childhood Education for K-shrenis teachers in Assam.• Digital modules (in Hindi) on Early Childhood Education for Aaganwadi workers and Mentor teachers in Rajasthan.• Responsive caregiving package for the caregivers of three-six year old children implemented in Pune and Palghar, Maharashtra.• Developing framework and tool to review and re-develop grade 1 and 2 English textbooks for State Resource Group (SRG)ii. Capacity Building• Online trainings on Early childhood Education and home-based learning programmes for Jammu Kashmir Association of Social Welfare (JKASW) team. • Online trainings on Responsive Caregiving Package for Maharashtra ICDS functionaries (CDPO and supervisors). • Offline training on ECE Curriculum for Jharkhand State level Master Trainers (SLMT).• Workshops on review and re-development of grade 1 and 2 English textbooks for State Resource Group (SRG).iii. Review of Rajasthan ECE curriculum.iv. Documentation• Developing Human case stories report showcasing the best practices related to responsive caregiving in Pune and Palghar.• Supported the development of research design and report on dipstick assessment to assess the dissemination of responsive caregiving package and its impact.• Developed textbook review report highlighting the gaps and suggesting recommendations for revision of grade 1 and 2 textbooks.

During this phase, I worked with caregivers with children till six years of age and oriented them home based learning activities.

As SPA at CECED, I led the overall technical and financial planning, implementation, and monitoring of following projects in Odisha and West Bengal, Meghalaya. 1. Pre-School Programmes and Early Childhood Development (ECD) in Odisha, India, in collaboration with Yale University, USA. The project activities included development of two-year pre-school curriculum for three to six years of children, with a focus on executive functioning and school readiness, developing a twelve months parenting programme for attitudinal shifts towards ECE among caregivers, Training of ECE facilitators and Adaptation of the assessment tool (WPPSI-IV and DEBARON-II) to the local context of Cuttack, Bolengir and Balsore districts of Odisha.ii. Technical Assistance on the Early Childhood Education (ECE) in the State of West Bengal in collaboration with UNICEF (West Bengal). The project activities included to Design and develop parenting packages for caregivers with children of two different age-groups (birth to three years and three to six years), Training of the State Resource Group (SRG) on the ECE and parenting intervention, Designed the monitoring and evaluation plan for parenting intervention, Conducted monitoring visits in six districts and submitted the monitoring report, Developed tools for the baseline and endline evaluation of parenting intervention. iii. Feasibility study on the integrated ECD intervention package and the role of MSRLS in Meghalaya, in collaboration with World Bank (India). The primary target beneficiaries of this package were pregnant women and young mothers. The project activities included to design and develop the Integrated Early Childhood Development (ECD) Intervention Package based on WHO’s Nurturing and Care Framework for ECD, Conducted trainings on the ECD Intervention Package for the MSRLS team and Submitted a report on the feasibility of the Integrated ECD Package and using MSRLS as an alternate platform for delivery of the intervention.

I led the overall planning, monitoring, and completion of a research study on children and crime. This study focused on examining the relationship between multifaceted violence in the immediate environment and its influence on the perpetuation of violence among children from underprivileged communities. The research was done with the children from five communities located across the north, south, and central zone of Delhi. Data was analyzed using a qualitative technique, i.e., Content Analysis.

As a research associate, I was a member of the core team responsible for data collection and analysis for the longitudinal study conducted in the primary schools with children from the Saora tribe in Odisha.

Documentation and data collection which included audio-video recording of classroom practices in Multilingual (MLE) and Non-MLE Schools, interview with teachers, students, Community members, field notes; preparation of reports. Ensured the communication and coordination of NMRC meetings.

I taught EVS to primary and elementary grades. The classroom experiences and reflections are published as a co-authored book chapter.
