- Led the Communications Program. Oversaw the conceptualization of strategic opportunities to advance OutRight’s mission and vision in national and international news media, both online and offline. Increased OutRight's media representation and coverage significantly, including on trusted news outlets such as New York Times, Newsweek, NBC, Thomson Reuters, Al Jazeera, among others.- Drafted, pitched, and executed written collateral including Op-Eds, articles, and publications, and nurtured strong and reliable relationships with journalists, to advance OutRight as a key media resource and influential stakeholder on LGBTIQ human rights internationally.- Engaged with international partners to increase visibility of LGBTIQ human rights at the national, regional, and international level by using communications as an advocacy tool to influence progressive LGBTIQ policies, notably at the United Nations.- Acted as an organizational spokesperson and expert for media requests, on panels, workshops, and events to increase the understanding of LGBTIQ human rights and development issues to external audiences.- Drafted the organization's Annual Reports, newsletters, and briefs for donors, and worked closely with development team to draft and communicate OutRights results and impacts internally and externally, including for staff, Board Members, and donors. - Contributed to human rights and development reports, worked with program staff on research design and report structures, and line and copyedited organizational reports for external publication. - Oversaw and advanced the quality and consistency of the organization’s branding and public image.- Managed 4 Communications Interns per year, supporting capacity growth and development.

- Advised on strategic philanthropic investment in international Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) human rights and social change organizations and institutions globally.- Work with other major philanthropic investors to align and collaborate on effective theory of change strategies and actions to improve the lives of L, G, B, T, I, and Gender Non-Conforming communities worldwide.- Conducted research on important investment opportunities in trans and intersex led organizations, as well as mapped current global legislative trends on trans and intersex issues.- Interviewed multiple stakeholders and compiled research on U.S. federal and state level data collection on Gender Expression, culminating in recommendations for continued philanthropic engagement in this field.

- Jointly developed the structure of a groundbreaking multi-year multi million dollar UNDP, USAID, and SIDA program focused on building the capacity of LGBT civil society and National Human Rights Institutions in the Asia-Pacific.- Managed the organization of LGBT National Community Dialogues in Thailand, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Nepal, Mongolia, and Vietnam - with participation from over 650 government and community participants.- Assisted in the development of an innovative cross-sectoral ICT strategy, including in the creation of a web platform, mobile phone app, and short videos. - Participated in successful negotiations with USAID and other UN agencies to jointly convene the first ‘Regional Dialogue on LGBTI Human Rights and Health in Asia-Pacific’.- Authored a 60 page report on the environment facing LGBT individuals in Thailand, titled “Being LGBT in Asia: Thailand National Report,” published by UNDP in September 2014.- Facilitated multiple innovative training workshops centered on leveraging technology for human rights advocacy.- Enhanced community sector advocacy, governance, resource mobilization and engagement with government, by providing technical and policy support to national and regional civil society networks.

- Produced research and analytical reports outlining human rights violations perpetrated by state and non-state actors on individual and systemic levels against Burmese and ethnic minority individuals, based on NGO reports, media accounts, individual persons’ reports, and documentation by other national and international agencies. - Conducted research and data used to successfully lobby for the maintenance and addition of individuals and entities on the list of Specially Designated Nationals presented to the United States Treasury.- Created press releases, campaign and communications collateral, as well as assisted in outreach to grassroots activists.- Worked with the Director of Communications to create and launch the organization’s new website. - Composed and published blog entries, e-blasts, and weekly News Wrap Ups for all constituents and donors.- Assisted in developing and maintaining an interactive online conflict map of Burma depicting over 1000 human rights abuses, armed conflicts, arbitrary taxations and extortions, and arbitrary arrests.
