With a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences, my journey has involved diverse roles, from academia to industrial R&D to intellectual property management and now leading a government initiative - RICH (Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad). I bring 20+ years of experience in implementing projects and initiatives that involve multidisciplinary approaches, cross-functional collaborations, and capacity building.RICH, a first-of-its-kind initiative by the Government of Telangana, facilitates the 'Research to Market' process by connecting diverse stakeholders in the research and innovation space, including research/academic institutions, industry, startups, government bodies, NGOs, and funders. It has evolved to become the Hyderabad Science and Technology (S&T) Cluster under the Mega City Cluster initiative of the Office of Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India.Joining RICH in 2017 as its founding team member after completing my MBA at IIM Ahmedabad, I initially served as the Director of the Life Sciences vertical. This role provided valuable insights into the startup ecosystem and the research/academic landscape in Telangana, which I carry along as I lead RICH as the CEO.I firmly believe that successful ecosystems benefit significantly from crucial networks and resources. Therefore, one of RICH's primary objectives is to forge collaborations with regional, national and global innovation clusters. As the CEO of RICH, my leadership philosophy revolves around fostering these partnerships and supporting innovation that advances society through the effective use of science and technology. The aim is to address complex challenges by leveraging the local expertise and strengths of the state. Currently, my focus at RICH is on fast-tracking innovations and implementing multidisciplinary projects in the Food and Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Sustainability sectors. Our commitment is to promote science and technology, create economic growth, and catalyse societal impact.I am open to networking and collaborating with professionals who share a passion for science and technology.
