I am passionate about helping postdocs in professional development and career exploration opportunities. I'm excited about building community by engaging with postdocs from all walks of life and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall postdoc experience!I currently serve as the Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Affairs for the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. In this capacity, I oversee all aspects of postdoctoral affairs for the campus including the coordination of key postdoctoral initiatives, hiring, communications, policies and procedures, community affairs, and professional development offerings.As a trained synthetic biologist, I also spent 9 years researching novel biochemical applications in environmental sustainability specifically in developing novel methods of gold recovery from electronic waste as well investigating novel forms of nitrogen recovery from industrial wastewater.
