Rashmi Chugh, Group Head of Digital at the Nation Media Group in Kenya, Publisher and former Business Head for News-websites at HT Media, started her career as a Journalist with the Press Trust of India. She heads the P&L for the digital division and provides Digital direction and strategy for NMG's media brands. She is also responsible for news and non news digital acquisitions for the group. She was the first editor of Chandigarh Plus and North Plus- launched by the Times of India and worked for CII Northern Region as Counselor Media in Chandigarh. She was the Real Estate and Technology columnist for Tribune, Feng Shui and Vaastu columnist for HT City, founder Editor of HT Estates and the first Six Sigma Black Belt at HT Media.One of the early adapters to the digital domain she was Group Online Editor at the Pioneer and COO,CMYK Multimedia where she led teams that designed and developed corporate and Intranet portals for ONGC, Indian Oil, SAIL, GAIL, PetronetLNG, Haier and IGL. She was responsible for developing digital news offerings for HT Media on the web and mobile. She led the digital product and monetization strategy for Mint, Hindustan Times and Hindustan.besides identifying, negotiating and closing partnerships that helped accelerate news websites growth. Rashmi lives in Nairobi Kenya, was born in Delhi, grew up in Chandigarh, is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi, widely traveled and holds a Masters Honors school Degree in Geology from the Center of Advanced studies in Geology Chandigarh, India. She has worked as a Scientist in a Department of Science and Technology project in Delhi University and has done the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Program from Said Business School Oxford,U.K.
