Implemented the display of employees in the order of seniority with respect to the Seniority Roster Type, Assignment-Roster, Roster Relationship and rank. The data elements here have a complex relationship, this was considered a very efficient solution (involved COBOL SQL) as this increased the frequency of obtaining a seniority order. If the order cannot be determined, the approximate results were displayed with a disclaimer message. Before this enhancement, the results were erratic.

The CMTS application has a web UI and a mainframe core. Built COBOL programs that generated online print reports for the UI. Coded such that the COBOL programs facilitated fetching huge amounts of data despite the limited communication-area (COBOL, CICS and SQL).3. Built functionality to store and retrieve modification-logs of control records (COBOL CICS SQL). 4. Performance tuned the response time of a program by altering the logic such that the number of VSAM reads in the process to fetch the required output were minimized. The response time reduced from 8 seconds to less than a second for a particular amount of data involved in the tested case.
