• Monitored the quality of the response to the polio outbreak in Lagos Mainland and Ikeja Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Lagos state. • Provided supportive supervision to vaccination teams, to ensure effective use of vaccines, avoid vaccine wastage, and ensure vaccine quality via vaccine vial monitors.• Conducted data quality reviews and assessments, to mitigate against improper data collection/recording and identify data falsification. This was done by sampling 210 households and 28 transit points in both LGAs.• Identified households with non-compliant parents; educated them on the importance of immunization and assured them of safety, thereby improving coverage.• Provided data to facilitate mop up vaccination campaigns in local council areas, to ensure attainment of the 95% target coverage.• Contributed to an improvement of the immunization risk categorization of the LGAs.

Lagos

• Conducted supportive supervision of routine immunization activities and data quality assurance surveys at 7 health facilities in Apapa and Ifako-Ijaye LGAs.• Reviewed 4 ward-level daily implementation plans for the 2018 Measles mass vaccination campaign in Ifako-Ijaye LGA.• Supported and reviewed the finalization of plans for the periodic intensification of routine immunization (PIRI) for 6 underperforming local government areas.• Worked alongside a Disease Surveillance Notification Officer (DSNO) to track cases of suspected Acute Flaccid Paralysis.• Improved vaccine handling and storage in two health facilities in Ifako-Ijaye LGA, following the assessment of the cold chain management.Facilitated the assessment of the gaps in immunization data at the local government area, using data quality assurance surveys.

• Organized raw data for Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week (MNCHW) conducted in Nigeria between 2010 and 2014.• Conducted data analysis to identify trends across the different interventions that were undergone.• Identified the gaps in coverage for immunization, ante-natal care, and malnutrition screening, across all states and geopolitical zones.• Conducted data organization and analysis for the “Evaluation of the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week” national report, submitted to UNICEF Nigeria in 2016.
