I hold a Bachelor degree in Social Education from the University College of Northern Denmark. During my bachelor education I participated in three internships, taking place in two different kindergartens and an observation home for kids placed outside their home by the municipality. I wrote my bachelor thesis about children and the use of media in a pedagogical practice and how to understand media as a pedagogical tool. After graduation I have been working in the Danish school system and in after-school centers, primarily with children aged 6–10. My working experience has given me a lot of insight regarding children’s development, play, friendship, and conflict handling. I have also been planning, teaching, and evaluation lessons regarding socialisation and conflict management.Working in the after-school centers had given me experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating the framework for fun and challenging games for the children. My work experience had also allowed me to hone my skills in communication, be it with children and their parents about the former’s well-being and the families’ current situation, or with teachers regarding lesson planning and individual learning processes among the children in a current class. Moreover, I was also extensively involved in supporting children with special needs in their daily school and after-school lives. The well-being of the children is my primary focus, along with securing equal rights for children disregarding gender. Another focus of mine is to give children the opportunity to experiment, investigate, try out and experience via play.I also hold a level 1 certificate in ICDP (Internation Child Development Programme) where my role as a pedagogue in interactions with children was under the loupe.
