My primary task was exporting reefer containers. I work independently in the company within given frames, but enjoy reaching goals in collaboration with my colleagues. The customers are mainly freight forwarders and a few direct customers dealing with food products and enzymes. My work comprises handling of export documents according to various country.

My area of responsibility was very versatile covering operations such as buying and selling freight, arranging the entire freight from A to Z and taking care of all the financial issues and documents. My work consisted in establishing and developing this business field. I gained by this work additional experience about Africa and their way of doing.

My area of responsibility was within LCL import from the far east. When I started at Hecksher I was in charge of 4 to 5 weekly consol containers. Four years later, it had grown to 25 to 30 weekly consol containers and the LCL staff had grown from 2.5 persons to 5 persons. I very much contributed to this successful development.

My work area was export to the Middle East of dairy and meat products including all kind of documentation in this connection.

Due to a maternity leave, I was given the title FCL Export Manager after returning from DSV USA. During the maternity leave, I was in charge of a team of 4 persons. The work included making freight offers, handling bookings, monthly closings of files and all documentation and claims.

Handling all FCL import from Europe to New York and New York nearby area. This included sales trips, handling customer claims, invoicing of customers and taking care of import US customs.
