Rasmus Gerdeman brings over 20 years of experience as a senior executive, advisor, and board member. He has a particular focus on the industrial and natural resources industries including the intersection of EV’s, renewable energy and energy transition. Rasmus is the founder of Heimdall Strategies a boutique consulting firm providing C-Level teams and boards with unfiltered strategic and capital markets advisory related to high stakes transformational events. Previously Mr. Gerdeman was a Managing Director with Ankura Consulting Group’s Office of the CFO practice where he led the Capital Markets Communications client engagements. He is also an independent board member of Metals Acquisition Limited where he chairs the audit committee. Mr. Gerdeman has led investor relations, corporate strategy, and corporate finance engagements with clients and executives around transformational events. His expertise includes IPO’s & SPAC’s, strategic investor relations advisory, capital allocation strategies, working capital improvement analyses, mergers, and acquisitions.Prior to his role at Ankura, Mr. Gerdeman was a Senior Advisor with FTI Consulting. He has also served as Chief Strategy and Investor Relations Officer for Livent Corporation a NYSE listed lithium producer during the company’s IPO and separation from FMC Corporation. Before his role at Livent Corporation Rasmus was a Managing Director at FTI Consulting in the Strategic Communications and Corporate Finance segments.Earlier in his career, Mr. Gerdeman spent more than 12 years as a buyside analyst at leading U.S. investment management firms including Neuberger Berman and was recognized twice by institutional investor magazine as “best of the buyside” for his deep expertise. He is also a guest lecturer and mentor to Cornell University MBA Cayuga Fund students focusing on basic materials and natural resources.
