I’m an experienced in-house legal counsel with a background as a lawyer and bringing knowledge from the asset management and energy industry.I like being an operational part of the business as well as being involved in the strategic development of the organization.In my role, I place great emphasis on communication and on ensuring that relevant parties are involved. I am often the one who say - ‘We need to take X into account’ and know the status of the various ongoing projects. I often become a ‘go-to guy’ for information.When I review contracts or familiarize myself with new regulation, I go in depth to extract information which is relevant to the company and interact with other employees to operationalize this information. In practice, this means identifying items where we need to make decisions or need to update or draft new policies or procedures.In my work I am used to communicating with many internal and external stakeholders, e.g. employees at all levels, board members, authorities and external advisersMotivation:I believe in doing tasks properly and I am motivated by working along with talented people who enjoy their work.I like to take a holistic view of the business aiming to look forward identifying and avoiding any obstacles ahead. For the legal function to be able to support the overall business strategy I find it important with a deep understanding of how the business is run. The legal function should not be seen as an isolated part of the business, and I’m motivated by being involved in day-to-day business as well as in developing thoughts on future objectives and long-term strategy.Using my legal “tool box” I am a strong implementor of new regulations and strategic goals.
