Way back since I was first introduced to social science in middle school, politics and sociocultural issues have fascinated me. This is still true to this day, today being manifested mainly through the interest areas of Latin America, the European Union, and international relations.The areas mentioned above have, on one hand, led me to investigate about such topics as the development of the peace negotiations between FARC and the Colombian government; EU-China relations in the wake of the sanctions controversy between the two and; the influence that the US had on Mexico's position on the Central American migrant caravans. On the other hand, they also brought me abroad - more specifically to Mexico - where I would both come to improve some of the skills I had already established, as well as learn some completely new. Aditionally, as I progressed through my studies, I would slowly start becoming more interested in sustainablility, an interest that has only further increased since I finished university. This particularly applies in the case of environmental technology in the areas of energy extraction and public transit. When it comes to mobility, though, I do not keep myself updated merely on public transit issues, but rather urban mobility more generally.
