I was brought in on a project basis to conduct qualitative research, on Danish Companies need for foreign labour.

My work consisted of researching and writing reports on the information technology services sector in the EMEA region. Part of this was updating and maintaining IDC's yearly reports on the top vendors, and monitoring changes in performances and strategy for the included companies. Furthermore I assisted the Services Research Director in developing forecasts and with research for various consulting assignments.The position gave me ample opportunity to hone my research and analytical skills, whilst subjecting me too the latest developments in IT and IT services, spurring my strong interest in the 3rd platform technologies and their effect on modern organizations.

As a Commercial Assistant, I assisted the Commercial Advisors and the Trade commissioner with conducting market research for the trade councils various clients. The nature of the specific assignments varied greatly, from clarifying industry structures and sales processes, to identifying and vetting potential distributors for Danish companies in the USA. Results were usually delivered in the form of a written reports or slide decks depending on the clients preferences. In addition I assisted the Trade commissioner in analyzing sales and performance data for all 5 trade council offices in the US, with the purpose of comparing results of the various strategies employed, with the purpose of facilitating debate on the future strategy of the US organization.
