After ten plus years in retail I decided I needed to find something I was passionate about and find a way to make a living doing that. I started with going back to college and working on a degree in small business/ entrepreneurship. If I ever found a passion I knew that degree would help me build a business around that. My strongest characteristic is my nurturing nature and the need to help people so I knew I needed to incorporate that into my career/ business of choice. After turning 30 I became obsessed with the health of my skin. I was researching brands and products and techniques, the favorite part of my day was when I would wake up and go to bed because I was able to do my whole skin care routine. It finally dawned on me, I could go to school to do this for a living! If I was trying to learn all this on my own I might as well make it official and help me move towards a career doing something I love. Even better it also involves taking care of people and helping them feel their best. I can’t wait to complete my schooling and see what direction the path takes me!
