I have ten years of experience working in the retail business. I have built a strong product knowledge in stationery, art supplies, toys, and electronic accessories through years of work in procurement, handling global sourcing, and supply chain management. I was able to make a significant impact through new product development and branding after being involved in both marketing and sales. My product awareness exceeds retail-related products; I worked for years importing industrial machinery and raw materials. My understanding is enriched by many business trips to several destinations such as China, France, Egypt, and Germany. Currently, I work as the Managing Director at one of the biggest store chains of its kind in Qatar that provides books, bags, toys, educational tools, stationery, art supplies, electronic accessories, and printing services. In addition to those categories, I have added computers, mobiles, gaming electronics, and accessories. I lead a team of 120 employees working across seven branches and a central warehouse. I have created two brands under which we have produced some of our currently best-selling stationery and bag products. I have improved our store management and merchandising, and I handle the sales operations. We have reached lifetime records of daily and monthly sales (the highest in 30+ years). I started my career as an English-Arabic translator with a Diploma in IT; I’ve been a multi-talented person and made a real impact on every department and team I worked with until I became a Managing Director before I was 30 years old; I kept doing the same until today.
