Chea Ratha is a distinguished software executive with over a decade of experience in software development. In 2011, Ratha co-founded Versita Pty. Ltd., a technology service provider in Australia. Upon returning to Cambodia in 2016, she founded Khmum Technology Co., Ltd., specializing in e-commerce. Despite the rapid growth of Cambodia's e-commerce sector, Ratha recognized that some communities were not benefiting equally from this expansion.In 2018, she launched Khmum - eShop, an all-in-one e-commerce platform that integrates e-commerce, point of sales (POS) systems, and access to loans. This app-based, end-to-end marketplace connects micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a focus on women-led businesses, to consumers in Cambodia and beyond. Khmum - eShop has significantly impacted local communities by empowering women entrepreneurs, promoting local products, and providing financial literacy and digital marketing training. The platform has onboarded over 400 MSMEs, enabling them to reach a broader market and improve their livelihoods.From May 2022 to August 2023, Ratha served as Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, overseeing the General Department of SMEs & Handicraft and the General Department of Science, Technology and Innovation.
