As of October, 2021, my role changed to MPHI budget oversight while continuing program leadership participation on the working and advisory committees. The Stay Well Crisis Counseling Program (CCP) started as a FEMA-funded disaster relief grant administered by SAMHSA and the State of Michigan BHDDA. In November, 2021, the State of Michigan and Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant funds the program. The Stay Well CCP provides Michiganders with a free 24/7 emotional support counseling call service, virtual psychoeducational webinars providing coping and resiliency techniques, print materials, and virtual support groups.
