• Pronounced like 'damn', WAMN is an online publication that discusses social issues and women's rights that I co-founded.• I planned the content and wrote some of the blog posts while managing our group of freelance writers. • I also created content for its social media accounts, tracked its growth, and managed the design and maintenance of the website.

My responsibilities for this position was to create content for the beauty and fashion section for the website — in both written and video formats. I also have the task of executing any fashion-related advertorial our brand receives. Some of the recent work I’ve directed includes videos for Levi’s and a photo editorial for Topman. Aside from that, I also write personal essays (i.e: what it was like being raised by a single mother) and interview artistes or prominent personalities. I also managed the brand’s Twitter and Instagram accounts by scheduling posts daily and conceptualising the materials we upload onto those platforms. I track our growth on a monthly basis to gage which content receives better engagement to understand our audience.

I was in charge of paginations, liaising with our marketing and sales team, and was also the designer's part-time shadow when the issue was going to print. I was the only writer at the time which meant I wrote most of its content – features, reviews, advertorials, interviews – and shared what I couldn't with my interns. Highlights from this job: Interviewing Marina Mahathir and Nurul Izzah, daughters of two influential political adversaries, for our Father's Day feature which was both pleasant and extremely nerve-wrecking as a new writer who had more experience dealing with lack of sleep than speaking to two prominent figures.
