Wanting to be competitively job-ready in a COVID-affected market, I undertook a professional placement (internship) for a fast-growing independently owned Contract Management Services firm. Using what I mastered in my tertiary studies, I reported to the CEO / Principal Consultant, where I took responsible ownership of key daily end-to-end contract management tasks that underline my immediate currency for this new role:- Effective daily support of Managers and Team Leaders within PMO and on construction sites- Coordinated council approvals (e.g. Port Adelaide Enfield) and liaising with all parties to support deliverables- Integral role in services delivery of projects and documentation within set contracts, time and cost constraints- Managing and ensuring Safe Construction Sites- assisted in conducting site inspections (and paperwork)- Managing quoting process of the building works, material selection for a contract- Developing 3D models, Renderings and Walkthroughs for projects for better understanding of clients- Dealt with Town Planners in approval of design, designed by me (Council of Port Adelaide Enfield)- Proven comprehensive computer aided drafting experience on specialised engineering design projects - Successfully worked on hand car wash business at Trinity Garden (Led team of 20 site staff)- Successfully worked on chicken shed at Murray Bridge (supported team of 20 site staff)- Successfully work on takeaway home attached to residential home (supported team of 20 site staff)

Before making the life changing decision to start a new life in Australia and taking on my Master Studies to “future-proof” my career, I had built an accomplished career in India. My last role was working in the Construction Industry, where I moved into a hands-on PMO support role. I had initially started my career as an Architect, so this enabled me to become a trusted conduit between technical and business teams very quickly. Key milestones included:- Supported project managers and teams execute construction process on projects worth up to AUD$10M- Supported business conversations about design specifications, standards, and budget of project- Delivered working drawings of project and communicated and monitored changes - Responsibly managed daily operations- sending out meeting remainders and recording minutes of meeting- Scheduling projects and communication with the labour teams and contractors to complete set work- Ensured projects delivered on time within the estimated budget, being a hands-on assistant to 15 staff- Assisted with cashflow report, as directed by the contract manager and also trained up 3 interns
