Safeguard ideals and philosophies of Friends Nursery School. Lead school as a positive motivator.Set example for parent cooperative spirit and decision making by consensus. Act as school diplomat and mediator between parents and teachers. Keep parents informed of Board decisions and school issues. Run all Board meetings. Call, Coordinate and Run Personnel Committees as the needs arise (recruit members, coordinate meetings, take minutes at meetings) for issues such as Budget, Hiring, Fundraising Opportunities, Policies. Recruit Board Members for upcoming school year Board vacancies. Distribute school evaluation survey to parents at end of year; summarize for the teachers; present at following year’s first Board meeting. Perform teacher evaluations at end of School Year with Administrative Director. Lead end of year teacher & Admin Dtr gift effort from parents. Assist Administrative Director in hiring of services (outside contractors). Lead hiring process for new staff.
