Project: Active Workspace - BOM Compare/Accountability Check • Immensely useful and game changer feature for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)• Implemented software engine to compare Bill Of Materials(BOM) for two products.Real use cases: (Car manufacturers are using this product today)1.Design Engineer wants to compare two variants of Car(Base vs Luxury version) before sending it to production to understand part differences. Each Car version could contain millions of part items.2.Production Engineer wants to compare Car design data vs actual Car BOM data in system to ensure everything mentioned in car design data is really being accounted for in actual physical car assembly. Project: Active Workspace (AW) + Teamcenter for 4th Generation Bill Of Material (4GBOM)• Introduced new Data Model to hold core constructs of 4GBOM• Session recoverability - implemented it for 4GBOM end to end use case. Teamcenter runs in 4-tier with server pool manager. In case of unanticipated server reassignment/crash, end to end use case should seamlessly work without end user experiencing any glitch• Wrote data migration utilities for existing customers to migrate their legacy data to new data model for 4GBOM.
