Ratna Odata has built extensive experiences working in the arts and creatives sector for over a decade between Singapore, Jakarta, and Bali. She launched her career as a scenic designer and has worked with some significant theatre and dance companies such as Singapore Repertory Theatre's MACBETH (2011) as a props maker, Singapore Lyric Opera's PURSUANT ( 2013 ) as a set designer, Gigi Art of Dance as a set & costume designer (2013 - 17), and TEMAN Musical as a scenic designer (2018 - present).Inspired by Indonesia's arts and cultural scene, Ratna determined to pursue her dream to open more access that nurtures intercultural dialog through artistic practices. In 2014, she co-founded an alternative art space called Cata Odata in Ubud, Bali. At its core, Cata Odata runs as a non-profit initiative and collaborates with various art practitioners both locally and globally. Its main programs consisted of international art residencies, exhibitions, and theatrical performances. In 2021, she graduated from Prasetiya Mulya Business School in Jakarta, honing her an MBA in Strategic Management. She recently founded Ratna Odata Arts Management (ROAM), where she works closely with various art institutions and gallery owners. Her vast and multidisciplinary background has given Ratna Odata a broader view in navigating her journey in the art world. ROAM offers creative direction, business diversifications, and curating both visual and performing art productions.
