Support the Yakima County Treasurer’s Office in maintaining its investment portfolio with an average balance of over $500,000,000 and over 300 participant funds. Regularly ensure all governmental organizations overseen by the Treasurer’s Office maintain a positive cash balance offsetting excess and shortages of cash with investment activity. Responsibilities include:- Responsible for all accountant level investment activity; including daily, monthly and annual maintenance, along with balancing and reporting through monthly Investment Portfolio Financial Reviews, GASB31, CAFR, etc.- Responsible of other accounting duties such as performing journal entries, audits, and account/expense analysis.- Cross trained in other accountant duties such as Checkbook; the balancing of all county transactions and funds (cash, checks, wires, remotes, etc.) on a daily and monthly basis between our checkbook and the bank.Accomplishments:- Promoted from Financial Specialist IV to Investments Accountant within two months of employment.- Took lead in a new investments management system implementation at the start of my career and successfully managed to take the system live creating a new guide and new procedures for the investment process along with creating new reports for daily, monthly and annual balancing and reporting.

- Analyze members financial position through debt to income ratios, total asset turnover ratios, credit reports, tax returns, liquid assets, current debts and other financial information.- Worked directly with underwriters making risk based recommendations on secure and unsecure consumer loans; including personal loans, lines of credit and auto/boat/RV loans, through analysis of member financial information.- Educate and advise members on how to achieve their financial goals through investment, savings and credit building plans.
