The SJ Sharks' AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks, will relocate to California and play out of the SJ Sharks' home ice, SAP Center. The Worcester Sharks are being renamed the San Jose Barracuda. As the Ticket Sales Manager I am in charge of the entire AHL sales department. My job as Community Liaison Director is to manage and implement the Community Liaison program by placing an ASA representative in every major city of every medical marijuana state. Community Liaisons are a direct link to ASA National for local communities. They provide legal training for patients, meet with local elected officials, organize & rally supporters, community outreach & education, and provide court support for those who have been targeted by law enforcement.

In 2006 I ran for Berkeley City Council, District 4. This was my first time running for public office. I had little to no experience in politics....however I was very passionate about improving the condition of Berkeley, in particular Downtown Berkeley. For the past 10 years that I had worked and lived in Downtown Berkeley I watched business after business leave and less and less people come to the Downtown. Although I had no experience in politics and held a full time job (At Mechanics Bank) I was able to rally a large base of frustrated voters who rallied around my campaign. I was able to raise over $20,000. I had dozens of volunteers and my whole family (including my 4 year old son) got involved and helped me reach out to the Berkeley community. I served as Board President of the Downtown Berkeley Association (Downtown Berkeley Merchant's Assoc). As President I represented the DBA in all civic and public functions. I recruited new board members and was the chair of our monthly board meetings. I supervised and worked closely with the Executive Director. I frequently met with her to discuss the focus of the organization and how she could best use her time. I am most proud of my efforts to build a rapport with the Mayor, City Council, and prominent City Officials. By the end of my term we had monthly meetings with the Mayor's office, quarterly meetings with each of the City Council Members, and each month we would have 1 - 2 City Officials as guests at our board meetings.
