Current studies:(1) ACCEPT - Investigate the effects of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) on population diagnosed with trauma exposure. (2) DISCOVER II - A biobehavioral monitoring study with goals to understand the behavioral and biological effects of depression in patients with heart failure.(3) TRIUMPH - Assess the extent of a center-based lifestyle intervention (C-LIFE) of diet and exercise, dietary habits, fitness, and body weight on cardiovascular disease (CVD) biomarkers among individuals with treatment resistant hypertension.(4) UNWIND - Investigate the impact of a 3-month intervention of exercise, Lexapro, or placebo on anxiety symptoms and CHD biomarkers among individuals with cardiac disease and elevated anxiety. Administrative role:- Assists PIs and Clinical Research Coordinators with IRB documents and DSMB summaries. - Coordinate patient assessments through Microsoft Outlook calendar. - Maintain a secured and complete ACCESS and Statistica study databases. - Communicate budget limitations, expense reports, purchase orders and invoices through SAP, Excel and EndNote. - Provide study stuff with all materials, documentation and protocol to ensure participant safety.- Verify consent forms and adhere study protocol to regulatory requirements to protect participants' involvement within the study.Data Technician role:- Collect beat to beat blood pressure and baroreflex sensitivity data using a finometer. - Collect ECG and analyze heart rate variability data using Phillips 48 hour holter monitor.- Optimize Macros in Excel for efficient data export and conversion. - Process heart rate variability data using MATLAB and Statistica.
