Responsibilities as System Administrator:-1. Managing department’s computer labs (six labs). Four labs are general purpose computing labs having 150 systems in total. Following two labs were upgraded for specific requirements. 1.1. Computer Networking Lab includes 33 x Systems, 4 x Cisco routers & 8 x Cisco switches. 1.2. Lego Kit Lab includes 16 x systems, 16 x Lego Mindstorm EV3 Kits.2. Heading the IT support staff which include 9 individuals.3. Managing IT network of almost 250 systems (labs, staff & faculty) and WLAN of the department.4. Managing different servers to support our department’s network. These servers includes Primary Domain Controller server, Database server, Antivirus server, Proxy Server, Student feedback Server and Print Server.5. Developed and installed an indigenous “IT Support Management System”. This intranet based systems records all the IT complains, assign lab technician, stores all the logs and administrator can even generate report on daily, weekly and monthly basis. 6. Up-graded one of our general purpose computing lab containing 50 systems into Thin Client environment with HP Blade Servers. This This Client solution was first Evaluated using VMwear Environment and then on Microsoft Hyper-V Environment.
