I oversee the following areas for all Latin America excepting Brazil: Accounting, Taxes, Legal, Audits (external and internal), Internal Control, Accounts payable, Compliance, real estate, and leasing. I oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual closes, daily accountability, calculation and payment for local and regional taxes, internal controls implementation, etc. I am responsible for improving policies and procedures and attend all the legal requirements, attend statutory requirements and contracts as a legal representative, into other diverse activities.

My main responsibilities were to review the daily operations of WU (financial journals, fixed assets, and intercompany operations, AP and AR), review and coordinate the monthly closes. I was assigned to review the tax calculation for each entity and to prepare the financial statements under Mexican GAAP. I was in charge to review the payroll and the provisions related to the Mexican requirements. I reviewed and authorized payments to suppliers and I validated monthly balances in the balance sheet for quotation in the stock exchange purposes.

I developed diverse activities divided into two groups; one group were related to the operative activities, these activities included: calculation of fees for each audit, planning of the schedule of the audit, supervise the work of each audit team of my clients, attention of the client requirements, being the intermediary between the client/team and the audit partner or specialist of the firm, review and elaborate the reports to the central team, the financial statements and tax annexes. The other group was related to administrative activities, like monitoring the profit rate, monitor the billing plan, etc.

I overseed the accounting records for the Company, ensure that the monthly and annual closings were on time. I led some special projects, like the implementation of improvements of the fixed assets module in the ERP (SAP); I was in charge of external audit and for the preparation of the financial statements. I was part of the project to adopt the IMMEX program for the plant in Queretaro and I was responsible to calculate the APA Agreement.

My principal activities were the supervision and reviewing of the work made for my team in each client assigned, I was the first contact between the client and the manager, I had to review the most difficult or technical areas of the client. I elaborated the financial statements and the tax annexes for each client. I trained my team to achieve the common goals

My activities were review the financial figures of the Companies assigned to me, review and register the operations made for the clients. Fill the annual tax returns for the clients and filled the tax annexes and elaborate the financial statements. Elaborate the observation letter to improve their internal control.
