I am currently doing a PhD in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Málaga (UMA), Spain. My main line of research is focused on developing machine learning techniques to improve the perception of space robotic systems using advanced sensors such as stereo and thermal cameras. In 2019, I worked for over a year as a Firmware Engineer in industry while finishing my degree studies. Afterwards, I became a member of the Space Robotics Laboratory, where I started developing artificial vision algorithms as part of a collaboration agreement between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the UMA. In 2022, I did a research stay of over half a year in the Planetary Robotics Laboratory at The European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESA-ESTEC).
