Research Intern at the Andean-Amazonian Laboratory of Life Chemistry (LAVI), a collaborative initiative between the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement and the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, I engage in the maintenance and optimization of the production of larvae from a highly productive tropical fly species. This fly specializes in the conversion of organic waste generated by agro-industries, which is a crucial process for sustainable waste management.

During my short internship at Sacred Valley Health, I played a role as a Program Assistant, spearheading a dynamic one-week immersive program for University of Tennessee students in the US. My responsibilities included coordinating translation, providing guidance, and facilitating educational sessions covering diverse topics such as Peruvian history, climate change, and water conservation within indigenous communities. Moreover, I actively contributed by translating a workshop focused on healthcare in resource-limited settings, imparting essential skills like tourniquet application and fracture management. Additionally, I took part in logistical operations and assisted in identifying key areas for enhancing the health and well-being of indigenous populations, aligning closely with the organization's mission at Sacred Valley Health.In parallel, I authored a comprehensive guide detailing the usage of herbal medicines in the high Andean community of Anapahua., alongside instructions for the preparation of tinctures. These experiences not only enriched my understanding of community healthcare but also strengthened my commitment to sustainable development within diverse cultural contexts.
