My professional career has developed in two main sectors: Psychotherapy: my main focus is on how interactions and relationships influence our emotional states and the construction of interpersonal schemes. My approach is based in psychodynamic, relational and integrative models where aspects such as Attachment, Mentalization, or Emotional Regulation are emphasized. My most specific interest is focused in how to connect the Predictive Processing Models (Bayesian Brain) of Cognitive Neurosciene with the Psychotherapy realm. I'm developing psychotherapy in the private practice, mainly with adults. Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery of people with Severe Mental Illness: I have developed a continuing professional activity in this field since 2001. I'm currently running the Labor Rehabilitation Center of Retiro. Coordinating and programming interventions to promote labor insertion of people with mental disorders, mainly schizophrenia. In addition to the care activity, this work has given me the opportunity to develop other skills: leadership and team management, quality management, interdisciplinary coordination, patient safety, etc.As teacher I've been collaborating with different institutions (UNED, Universidad Complutense, IPR) about areas as Psychotherapy and Vocational Rehabilitation for people with serious mental Illness.
